Summary: These resolutions would state the legislature’s opposition to Proposition 8 on the grounds that it was an improper revision, not an amendment, of the state constitution, and was improperly enacted.
Status: These resolutions were introduced December 2, and December 1, 2008, respectively. On February 17, 2009, HR 5 passed the Judiciary Committee by a 7-3 vote. On March 2, 2009, the Senate passed SR 7 by an 18-14 vote and the resolution was adopted.
