Map of Florida's Amendment 2 Supporting Votes by Precinct
This map shows the percentage of voters that voted for Amendment 2 by precinct. It was approved by voters by a 61.9-38.1% margin in November of 2008. Amendment 2 changed the state constitution to provide that “Inasmuch as marriage is the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife, no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized.”
