Appropriations for HIV/AIDS Programs

We must make combating HIV/AIDS a priority by harnessing all possible resources to prevent new infections, provide meaningful access to quality care and treatment, boost research to find a cure and address the global crisis.

This omnibus spending bill includes a provision that would allow local units of government to provide health benefits to their employees at their discretion, including domestic partner benefits to the same sex partners of public employees.

Maine L.D. 375

This bill would add domestic partners to the list of family members an employee may use leave for in the event of an illness or birth of domestic partner’s child.
