Transitioning at Work

I am a male-to-female transsexual and have been transitioning for 2 1/2 years. I work in Vermont at IBM, and I just wanted to say I have never been happier.
If not for the company's diversity group, the Employee Alliance for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Empowerment (the EAGLES), I would have been scared. But I have been treated with respect and, on occasion, the company has favored my dignity over others' ignorance. Not once have I felt that I didn't have the company's full support.
They are wonderful here, and I hope there are more people as fortunate as me.
