The apple of my eye

I am the proud parent of a gay son.
My son is the most wonderful person you could ever meet. He gives of himself daily in his job and his personal life. He is a wonderful son. He is, as they say, the apple of my eye. I want so badly for EVERYONE to understand that preference is NOT the issue but the human heart and the kindness my son and his gay friends exhibit every day.
My hat and heart goes out to all gay people, and I will spend the rest of my life in support of all these wonderful people. We are ALL God's children.
