Summary: This bill would require school districts and public school academies to adopt policies prohibit harassment, bullying, or intimidation motivated by, among other things, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.
Status: On March 20, 2007, the House Committee on Education favorably reported the bill out by a 15-6 vote. On March 28, 2007, the bill passed the House by a 66-43 vote. The bill was transmitted to the Senate and on April 17, 2007 was referred to the Senate Committee on Education.
