Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program educates and organizes students, faculty and administrators at these HBCU campuses on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues specific to each institution’s needs. It opens campus-wide debate on LGBT issues, often for the first time. And it trains students to build viable student-led LGBT and LGBT-friendly organizations on campus.

Submit your information below to get news alerts and updates on the HRC HBCU program, including the launch of the program’s new website at www.hrc.org/hbcu. This new website will feature more information on our work with HBCUs, ways to locate other HBCUs with active LGBT student leaders, and resources created by HBCU staff and students.
