About Clergy Call
This May 22-24, join HRC’s Religion and Faith Program and hundreds of fellow religious leaders from across the country to build the faithful movement for LGBT justice. Now more than ever we need religious leaders like you to keep equality at the forefront of our nation’s conscience. We will gather in Washington, DC to organize, learn, worship and bring our witness for justice and equality to Capitol Hill.
Religious leadership has been critical in recent LGBT policy successes: the passage of the “Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act,” marriage equality in 5 new states and the District of Columbia, and the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” As people of faith, an interreligious community committed to pursuing justice, we have made huge strides but much more remains to be done. Please join us this May as we continue to build a faithful movement that advocates for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender rights, locally and nationally. Register Now.

This year we are excited to announce our partnership with the 11th annual Metropolitan Community Church Conference for People of African Descent, Our Friends, and Allies: May 19-21 in Washington, DC . The theme of their conference, “Loving Ourselves Into Liberation,” calls upon people of all colors to move beyond victimhood to victory and to lift others as we climb together. We encourage you to register for this powerful meeting as well as HRC’s Clergy Call for Justice and Equality.
Registration for this year’s conference is $50 which goes toward offsetting the costs of your conference materials and meals as well as supporting scholarships for clergy who would otherwise be unable to attend. We don’t want cost to prevent anyone from participating in Clergy Call. If you are in need of a scholarship to subsidize your travel to Clergy Call, please let us know by submitting a scholarship application – after you’ve registered for the conference, a link for the scholarship form applications will be provided to you in your registration confirmation email. For more information about this process, please see our scholarship page.
