Flying to DC?
There are three airports you can fly into and easily access the Washington DC area. They are:
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
- Dulles International Airport (IAD)
- Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

From Washington National Airport, you can take the Yellow Line of the Metro in the direction of Ft. Totten. Exit the train at the Mt Vernon Square/Convention Center station. As you exit the station, turn left and then left again on M Street, under the bridge. Turn left on 9th Street and walk two blocks. The church will be on your right between Massachusetts Ave. and K Street. A taxi from the airport to the conference site or to either of the Clergy Call affiliated hotels will cost between $10-15.
From Dulles International Airport, you can take the 5A bus to the L’Enfant Plaza Metro station. Please check the bus schedule here and plan at least 1-1.5 hours of transit time from the airport to the conference site. From L’Enfant Plaza, board the Metro on the Green or Yellow line in the direction of Greenbelt/Ft. Totten, and exit the train at the Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center Station. As you exit the station, turn left and then left again on M Street, under the bridge. Turn left on 9th Street and walk two blocks. The church will be on your right between Massachusetts Ave. and K Street. A taxi from Dulles Airport to the conference site or to either of the Clergy Call affiliated hotels will cost approximately $60.
From BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, you can take the B30/Baltimore bus from the airport to the Greenbelt Metro station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Please check the bus schedule here, and plan at least 1.5-2 hours of transit time from the airport to the conference site. From the Greenbelt metro station, board the train in the direction of Branch Ave. and exit the train at the Mt Vernon Square Convention Center station. As you exit the station, turn left and then left again on M Street, under the bridge. Turn left on 9th Street and walk two blocks. The church will be on your right between Massachusetts Ave. and K Street. A taxi from BWI to the conference site or to either of the Clergy Call affiliated hotels will cost approximately $80.
Arriving in DC by Rail?
If you are traveling by Amtrak, you will arrive at Union Station, which is located on the Red Line of the Metro, DC’s subway system. To get from Union Station to the conference site, take the Red Line from Union Station in the direction of Shady Grove. Go two stops and get off at the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station. Take the exit marked “9th & G,” and as you exit the station, turn right and walk up 9th St. Walk north four blocks and the church entrance will be on your left between Massachusetts Ave. and K Street.
