A Decade of Violence: Anti-Gay Hate Crimes from 1990-2000
The report is by the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project, the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs (NCAVP) and the Human Rights Campaign. Not all of these incidents and activities have been verified. This document reports only those incidents resulting in bodily injury or death, or having the potential for bodily injury or death, since January 1990. This document is not intended to be a comprehensive report on all violent anti-gay hate crimes committed during this period. Because hate crimes are often not reported, this report underestimates the true level of bias incidents.
