Drawing from the holy texts of their faith traditions, the authors of each selection present perspectives that affirm the lives of the GLBT faithful and advocate for equality from their faith tradition. The collection’s interview transcriptions, sermons, coming out worship celebrations and spiritual contemplations are ideal for either group study or individual reflection.

“One day not too long ago, in the entryway of our education building, I ran into a person who is a part of our congregation’s extended neighborhood family. I know that he hardly has two cents to rub together, and he’s trying, with a lot of courage and faith, to work his way up from addiction and poverty to something better, despite numerous obstacles.”
