What Parents Want for their Children

"I am the heterosexual mother of a wonderful lesbian daughter. I am also actively working for same-gender marriages. My daughter has only briefly mentioned marriage to me, as she has only recently been reunited with the one she loves. To me, this is a no-brainer. Parents love their children. Parents want what is best and what is most likely to make their children happy. Marriage will offer more opportunities for our children to be happy. To be able to help provide a beautiful wedding for my daughter, to have a new family member to love and embrace – I can't think of any more wonderful vision."
