A Million Moms for Civil Marriage

Dear Friends and Family,
When my daughter came out to me, I remember telling her that being able to share love with someone was the most important thing in a relationship – no matter with whom the relationship was shared. I want for her all of the exciting times that I have had in my marriage with her Dad. I want her to have the freedom to be able to make a commitment with someone that is recognized by not only her family but also the "powers that be" across this country. Please read the message below and if you feel likewise, add your voice to the Million for Marriage effort. If you have already done that, please pass this message onto your friends and family.
I believe that ALL Americans, including gays and lesbians, deserve the rights, responsibilities and privileges that come with marriage. And right now, we have an unprecedented opportunity to make that dream a reality. This week, it's especially important that we reach 200,000 signatures. Right-wing extremists are lobbying the U.S. Congress right now during their so-called "Marriage Protection Week." Please help drown out their anti-GLBT voices!
