Hewlett-Packard Co. has offered benefits to the domestic partners of its employees since January, 1997. Domestic partners of the same and opposite gender and their eligible children are covered, and benefits include health, life insurance and relocation, amongst others. The company added "sexual orientation" to its equal employment opportunity and harassment policies in 1992.
