Licenses marriages for same-sex couples? No.
Kentucky has an express statutory prohibition against same-sex marriage. “Marriage refers only to the civil status, condition or relation of one man and one woman.” KRS §§ 402.005 (2001); KRS 402.020 (2001).
Honors marriages of same-sex couples from other jurisdictions? No.
Kentucky law purports not to recognize same-sex marriages celebrated in another jurisdiction. KRS § 402.040 (2001). The state constitution was amended in 2004 prohibiting marriage by same-sex couples.
Any form of statewide relationship recognition for same-sex couples? No.
