The Human Rights Campaign released its annual Congressional Scorecard rating U.S. representatives and senators on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues in the 108th Congress.
To defeat anti-gay ballot measures, get out the vote in targeted states and elect fair-minded officials to federal offices, the Human Rights Campaign and HRC’s political action committee will be spending more than $6.5 million dollars nationwide in the 2004 cycle.
The Human Rights Campaign political action committee will give more than $1.8 million to help fair-minded candidates secure federal offices in the 2004 election cycle, representing an almost 39 percent increase since the last cycle.
